Kathi A. Bachert

Retired

Kathi A. Bachert was born and raised outside of Detroit, Michigan. She attended Eastern Michigan University majoring in Speech and Drama. She moved to Wyoming in 1979 with her husband and two daughters and began a career in the legal field in 1988. She obtained her Paralegal Certification in 1997.

Kathi worked for a civil defense litigation from for over 23 years where she gained an immense knowledge of personal injury and tort law. She worked for many attorneys who have achieved notoriety as Wyoming’s Chief United States District Court Judge and various Magistrate Judges. She has performed legal work in many State Circuit Court cases, attended trials in nearly every District Court in the State and in the U.S. District Court and has assisted numerous attorneys practicing in the United States Appellate Courts. She has been involved in Civil Litigation, Criminal Defense, Civil Rights, Estate Planning and Trust Law, Family Law and Employment Law. She developed an electronic exhibit-filing outline for Mac users for the Clerk of the U.S. District Court, for the District of Wyoming. She has been a Notary Public for the State of Wyoming for 27 years.

Kathi is a current member of the National Association of Legal Assistants, the Wyoming Bar Association, Wyoming Trial Lawyers Association, Legal Assistants of Wyoming and was previously named Civil Servant of the Year by the Internal Revenue Service. She has provided CLE presentations to LAW, Wyoming State Bar and WTLA members.

Kathi enjoys her family, especially her identical twin, her daughters and her two grandsons. Her personal interests are golf, swimming, gardening, gourmet cooking, many charities in and around Casper and traveling.
